Our Story

The Story of Sage & Illumination

Sage & Illumination began with a single candle—our very first Prayer Candle. At the time, our brand was called KIPM, and I had searched everywhere for a candle that carried a message of prayer and inspiration. Unable to find one, I created it myself. That one candle grew into three, each representing light, hope, and faith.

 

As the candles gained success, we expanded into T-shirts with uplifting and positive messages. Then, in 2019, while facing and overcoming a personal battle with breast cancer, I was inspired to grow the vision even further. I wanted Sage & Illumination to be more than products—I wanted it to be a place where women could feel empowered, encouraged, and celebrated. From purses and dresses to fragrances and accessories, each piece was chosen to help women feel good about themselves inside and out.

 

What began at trade shows and vendor events soon grew into our first boutique in Virginia. Along the way, we transitioned our brand name from KIPM to a new name that better reflected our mission. Sage represents wisdom and enlightenment, while Illumination symbolizes clarity, light, and inspiration. Together, Sage & Illumination became a brand dedicated to brightening women’s lives with products that uplift, inspire, and empower.

 

Today, our boutiques offer more than just shopping—they provide an ultimate experience, where every woman can find something that speaks to her spirit, style, and beauty.
